A Fly-In Trip To Remeber
Ken Bens and Dale Edwards
have known each other for years, and on numerous occasions Dale has offered to take Ken flying, or fishing, or both.Well,the stars were finally in alignment last fall, and they decided to visit the lodge in Dale’s Cessna 180. They were actually delayed by a day due to low ceilings, but they made it up on September 4, and were able to fish
for three days.
The Huber Family Starts ‘em Young!
When Daryl and Shirley Huber decided to take a trip to the lodge in July, there was no question about bringing their 7-1/2-year-old granddaughter Alex with them. She would not be denied, and
the little bundle of energy with the infectious grin made their trip all the more enjoyable. She also made a few seasoned fishermen sit up and take notice.
Bill and Gail Haanstra It’s The Little Things That Count
When Scott went in search of Lodge Managers for the 2012 season, he had no way of knowing how well his selection would work out. He also had no way of knowing that Bill and Gail Haanstra’s acceptance of the position was the fulfillment of an item on the couple’s “bucket list”. “When I retired from the RCMP eight years ago, Bill said, Gail and I drew up our list of must-do’s, and running a fishing lodge in the north was part of that list.”
